Yes he suffers in our heart and mind for he knows the things that we encounter and perhaps as we realise this we may feel or get a richer understanding of why we read that God in our supernatural life has decreed that we will eternally experience no more pain, no more grief etc all because God has been continually suffering with his Saints as they walk the planet Earth.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13126021030381618611noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8889604901812687092.post-70614828186599612172010-10-29T16:00:57.585-04:002010-10-29T16:00:57.585-04:00I like your opening to this comment of yours Kelly...I like your opening to this comment of yours Kelly. To learn to live vulnerably is something you have articulated in such a way that I have placed the word surrender in its place.

If one surrenders to God you are making yourself open to his blessings and Grace so that you can walk in mercy, hope, love, peace and joy. While these things are so, we can become more hurt, more open to abuse. Why is this so?

It is so simply because that is what God's son did as a human. It goes someway to help us to understand the words of our Lord and Saviour we he said "Forgive them for they know not what they do".

A great deal of personal hurt may come from the harm we do to ourselves (as a temple of the Living God)... we appear to have difficulty in being obedient to our Father. By being open we also allow ourselves to the abuse of others. With this in mind, I suspect that we all struggle with not only forgiving those who have hurt us but ourselves as well.

Does God suffer?
